About

Built for creators, not corporate legal teams.

Contractiv8 reads your sponsorship and brand-deal contracts and tells you what they actually mean for you, in plain English, before you sign.

The problem

A lawyer costs more than most brand deals are worth, so creators sign contracts they haven't fully understood, agreeing to perpetual usage rights, broad exclusivity, or one-sided payment terms without realising it. The generic contract tools that do exist were built for enterprise legal teams, not for an individual creator weighing up a few-hundred-pound deal.

What we do

We flag the clauses that matter to creators, IP and content ownership, exclusivity, usage and licensing, payment terms, termination, and explain in plain language what each one means for you and what you could negotiate.

Rules-based, not AI

Contractiv8 is not an AI tool. It's a rules-based contract scanner that checks your brand deal contract against a human-maintained library of creator-specific clause patterns, so your contract is never processed by AI, never sent to a language model, and never used to train anything.

It's precise pattern-matching against a creator-specific clause library, not an opaque AI guess. Every flag points to the exact language it found and why it matters, so you can see the reasoning, and take it to the brand with confidence.

Where we operate

We're launching in the UK, with our guidance written for UK-governed agreements. Contractiv8 is an educational tool, not legal advice, and doesn't replace a solicitor for high-value or complex deals.

From the founder

I built Contractiv8 to help creators understand the risks in their contracts and build fairer partnerships with the brands they work with. After years in digital strategy and development, much of it for the insurance and professional-services world, and often seeing the smaller party in big, one-sided agreements, I saw how complex contracts get pushed onto whoever can least afford to challenge them. Creators are living that today: limited time, no legal support, signing terms written entirely for the other side. Contractiv8 is my way of evening the odds.
